Oxford United Women have announced the signing of Scotland under-19 international Brogan Moore.
Brogan Moore is the latest player to re-sign after an impressive debut season for Oxford United Women.
The 19-year-old forward began her football career at the age of 5 in Ascot United’s boys’ section. At 8, she was scouted by Reading and signed for their under-10 shortly after, playing for both Reading and Ascot concurrently.
She racked up several individual and team achievements during her time and Ascot and Reading. In 2015, she scored more than 50 goals during Ascot’s treble-winning campaign, and continued her fine goal-scoring form at Reading, after progressing to the Development side, where she was the top goalscorer in her first season at just 16.
Her time at Reading earned her a call-up to the Scotland U19 squad for a tournament in La Manga, and although she didn’t feature, she benefited from the experience.
She then opted to make the switch to Court Place Farm ahead of last season, where she scored 10 times in 15 appearances – proving to be a valuable member of the squad. Her performances at the U’s were rewarded with further call-ups to the Scotland squad and has since made her under-19’s debut.
Commenting on her motivation to remain at the club, Moore said: “Training is always good; there’s never really a bad session. The good coaching quality is helpful for my progression as a player.”
Brogan joins fellow Scotland U19 international Georgia Brown as part of Liam Gilbert’s squad for the 2020/21 season.
